It’s been three years since I last visited my home land. Yes, it was three straight years and I couldn’t explain how excited I was when I finally got the time to spend summer with my family in my beautiful country, Brazil. Just like the Philippines, my second home, Brazil is one of the world’s most captivating places. It is rich in enchanting rain forests, fascinating white beaches, colorful culture and tradition and joyful people. These and more are the reasons why I think the Philippines is my home away from home. During the holidays 2014, I had a month long vacation which I spent with my dearest ones. Christmas and New Year will never be as memorable as spending it with your family, and I am blessed and thankful and I was able to do that. Meet my family!
Being home brings back so many good memories. When I was a kid, I play like any other kids do; I like outdoor games and doing some adventure. When I was still young, our grandmother would always tell stories about the Japanese, their culture and traditions and to speak its language.
Yes guys! Ako ang bata sa picture. And that woman beside me is my grandma. It breaks my heart that she cannot remember me anymore because she has Alzheimer’s. Salamat meron mga pictures that keeps the moment alive in our minds and hearts. While in Brazil, I did so many activities I used to do like grilling! Masarap talaga ang mga ihaw-ihaw sa Brazil, like dito sa Philippines, mahilig din kami mag ihaw. And syempre I did not let go of the opportunity of tasting the authentic Brazilian Picanha made by the barbecue masters, my dad and our good friend Serginho. Celebrating my 31st Birthday is one of the best, because I get to spend it with my whole family!
Not so long ago, my mom used to bring me to parks, so during my stay, I and my mom would always have long walks while catching up.
It was summer during my stay there, and as I mentioned earlier in this blog, there are a lot of beautiful beaches in Brazil. Paborito naming mga kapatid ko to go to the beach, it’s like our favorite bonding.
My month long stay there for me is short. I wish I could stay longer or maybe, they could visit me here and I can show them around this beautiful country. I will be posting more stories soon. I hope you guys enjoyed reading my blogs, share your stories with me too, send me an email at Fabio@fabioide.com and your story might get featured.
